Peace ,security and Reconciliation

Building Peaceful,
Resilient and Inclusive Communities

At the core of DRDO’s peacebuilding work is a deep understanding of the diverse causes and dynamics of conflict. Resource-based communal conflicts, particularly competition over land, water and pasture among pastoralist communities, remain major obstacles to stability and social cohesion in Somalia. DRDO invests in research, training, dialogue and field support to understand conflict dynamics, strengthen reconciliation processes, and help communities build peaceful and resilient societies.
