Peace ,security and Reconciliation

DRDO’s peace-building endeavors lies a profound recognition of the diverse origins of conflict. Among the most pervasive are resource-based communal conflicts, which often arise from the competition over scarce natural resources among rural nomadic pastoralists. These conflicts, centered on the control and sharing of land, water, and pasture, pose significant obstacles to stability and societal cohesion in Somalia. Conflict not only takes human lives, destroys communities and erodes development gains, but also leaves a legacy of fear, hostility, and trauma.

Key Peacebuilding Experience & Results
